Ham and I are in the midst of trying to devise a sensible way to organize our Lego bricks but there aren’t many options when we’re aiming to avoid bulky plastic bins and shooting for functional alternatives with minimal footprints. I’ve been scratching my head all week and a solution isn’t in sight but the Bisley drawer cabinet may be a cool option. They’re available in various hues for color coding and tray inserts can be added to organize Lego bits and pieces. The only drawback, of course, is the price tag. The Bisley five-drawer cabinet is $99 and the eight-drawer option is $219. We need quite a few units so these puppies will be rather expensive but, first, we’ll need to examine the interior drawer dimensions to determine if they’ll meet our Lego needs.

On the bright side, this was another awesome year for the Marvel Superheroes theme with six Avengers: Age of Ultron sets, two Spider-Man, an Ant-Man and an epic S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier set. Additionally, Lego offered 36 new minifigures and five statuettes for a total of 41 superheroes and villains in 2015. That’s crazy and I have to admit that, at times, it’s much more thrilling to chase and collect minifigures from Marvel and DC than Star Wars. Perhaps it’s the stream of fresh characters versus new variants of old favorites but I can’t wait to add DC’s Killer Frost and Reverse Flash to my collection next year. Then again, I’m also really, really hoping Lego releases an old-man Luke Skywalker. 🤞🏻
