A look at the Lego Star Wars minifigures from 2009.

Star Wars in Lego: 2009

It’s been one of those weeks when progress feels or seems stagnant. I’ve had a nice run being flushed with ideas for Gray Cow but I’ve sadly hit a wall in productivity. 🤪 Here’s why. As noted in an earlier post, I’m in the process of relocating the Star Wars minifigure frames from one room to another. In doing so, I thought it’d be a good idea to stockpile a few frames for growth. In times past, similar to many Lego collectors, I relied on the IKEA RIBBA frames but I recently learned through reviews that they now feature plexiglass. Ugh, why, oh why? 😑

Last year, we encountered a different problem with the RIBBA frames. The MDF backer board was much thinner than our first set of frames, which meant that our hanging clips were no longer effective. It was a tad cumbersome to source replacements but solutions existed out there. This switch to plexiglass, however, is a nonstarter. Now I’m in desperate need of a new, dust-free way to display the minifigures. I think I’ve found a solution but it won’t arrive prior to press time so I’ll share my thoughts in the next post. 😎
