To Infinity and Beyond: Lego Toy Story

To Infinity and Beyond! Toy Story in Lego

As depicted in Pixar’s Toy Story, who hasn’t believed or secretly hoped that their toys could come to life? I sure did and still hope that my sweet stuffed cow will animate one day. It came to pass in Toy Story, so why not? 🤓

Let’s ignore my nerdom and return to Lego talk. The Toy Story theme was introduced by the brick company in 2010. Though the production run was rather short, it generated some of the most charming minifigures in Lego history–Woody, Buzz, Hamm, Rex, Lotso and so many others.

The Toy Story minifigures are a bit larger in scale than normal but Lego has done a great job mimicking the iconic details of the movie characters from their goofy expressions to their cartoony attire. My favorite figure is Rex with his tiny rubber hands but Hamm is an awesome runner-up. He’s a true piggy bank with a rubber cork and Lego coins. I mean, I can’t even…. 🤣
